If you’ve been on my blog, you know by now that I LOVE the Elementor page builder. But I’ll be the first person to let you know that not all Elementor websites are created equally. Things like hosting companies, WordPress themes and clunky plugins can really effect user experience, functionality and security.
Now, when it comes to themes, there are thousands of paid and free themes available. So how do you know which ones are best, and which ones will keep you up at night? Allow me to make a few suggestions.
Added bonus, they’re all free.
The Three Best Themes to use with Elementor
Best Theme to use with A Basic Elementor Website:
HELLO THEME
If you’re building out a simple one page, or five page, Elementor website, with or without a blog, the Hello Theme is, hands down, the best theme there is. It’s Elementor’s “official” theme and essentially it’s as “hands off” as it comes. The WordPress customization toolbar covers the absolute basics and nothing more and because of it, this theme is FAST! As of 2021, this is the theme I use on every single one of my simple website builds because it plays flawlessly with Elementor and gaurantees the fastest page speed possible (not taking into account things like hosting, other plugins, etc).

Best Theme to use with an eCommerce Elementor Website:
OCEANWP
OceanWP is my theme of choice when I’m building out an eCommerce website with Elementor because of the extensive WooCommerce customization options. WooCommerce is the most popular eCommerce platform used for WordPress, and so if you want an online shop that blends seamlessly into your site, having this kind of control is essential.

Best Theme to use with Elementor when you want to get started fast:
ASTRA THEME
Astra theme is a fast, customizable theme that has over 50 pre-built Elementor templates that can be installed with just one click. While this isn’t the theme I recommend for those looking for a custom build, and it isn’t as fast as the Hello Theme, it is faster than many of the themes out there and packs a lot of punch.
My best advice is that whatever theme you choose, just make sure it’s still being maintained by the developers and that the reviews are stellar. There are too many awesome themes out there to settle for anything less.
You may have noticed some links in this article. Some of them are affiliate links, which means if you use them I get a small kick back.
I just wanted to let you know that everything written here is my personal (or professional) opinion and was not influenced by that. I would NEVER recommend a program, plugin or service that I haven’t personally used and absolutely love. Thank you!
